Connector Eliminates Interference In Field Bus Systems

Feb. 1, 2001

A series of hybrid connectors have been designed to meet the need for signal security in bus systems offering decentralized control of field components. The Han-brid connectors can be used with a variety field bus cables, including fiber optic, copper and copper twisted pair versions, and can accommodate fiber optic or copper twisted pair data transmissions along with a power supply of 24V/10A in one connector. This solution can be used in all common field bus systems and has been standardized for Desina and Profibus. The connector is compatible with many standard hoods and housings, including enclosures offering IP65 and IP68 protection. Electro-optical interface transformers can be supplied in versions for point-to-point connections.
