Controllers Simplify Embedded Designs Employing Firm's RISC µPs

Targeted for use with the firm's 64- and 32-bit RISC microprocessors, the RC64145 and RC32134 system controllers provide the standard functions associated with embedded µP applications, such as memory and I/O control. By integrating these and other functions onto a single chip, system development time and cost reportedly can be significantly reduced.The RC64145 connects certain of the firm's 64-bit CPUs to SDRAM main memory, boot ROM and local I/O devices, as well as providing a 32-bit, 66-MHz PCI interface and various embedded peripherals. To support 32-bit RC32364 µPs, the RC32134 controller provides a glueless interface to DRAM, ROM and I/O devices, as well as offering a 32-bit, 33-MHz PCI bridge and commonly used peripherals.
