Current-Sense Amplifier Consumes Just 30 µA

Housed in a space-saving surface-mount package measuring just 3 x 3 mm, the MAX4372 is a micro-power high-side current-sense amplifier with buffered output that consumes just 30 µA of supply current. The tiny device prevents disruption of the circuit ground plane by employing a single external resistor between the power supply and the load. The combination of factory-trimmed gain and the external sense resistor lets the user select the full-scale range of the measured current. The device achieves a 0.18% full-scale accuracy. The current-sense amplifier is offered in both 5-pin SOT-23 and 8-pin SO packages.
