Current Transducer Handles Distorted Signals

Dec. 1, 2000

Accepting ac, dc and distorted waveforms, the MCR-S 1/5-UI-(SW)-DCI and MCR-S10/50-UI-(SW)-DCI DIN-rail mounted current transducer modules are designed with a Hall effect sensor that allows them to accept a current range adjustable from 0 to 11A and 0 to 55A, respectively. The MCR-S 1/5-UI- (SW)-DCI accepts a direct termination of the current signal wires and the MCR-S10/50-UI- (SW)-DCI accepts the current carrying conductor (10.5 mm in diameter) that is passed through the center of the module's 22.5-mm housing. Common features include three-way isolation between input, output and power, and output signals from 0 to 20 mA, 4 to 20 mA, 0 to 5 Vdc, 0 to 10 Vdc, ±5 V or ±10V and the inverses of each.
