CX-Automation Suite Communicates With Programmable Controllers

Oct. 1, 2000

The new CX-Automation Suite is an integrated software platform that allows seamless connectivity between the company's programmable controllers and industrial software applications that include motion, process and temperature control and intelligent device interface and control. Each application in the suite contains CX-Server, a communications and driver package built into the application. CX-Server supports integration with the company's existing networking capabilities. It provides a common tag database, where a user can easily reuse data from one application to the next. The applications are presented in a Windows environment and the suite has the ability to do single port multiple access, allowing multiple applications on one PC to communicate with multiple PLCs or intelligent modules, all through one communication link.
