Die Cut Parts Act As Insulator And Isolator

July 1, 1999

Providing insulation and isolation for electronic components and products, such as the alarm circuit indicator panel shown in the photo, Printed Indicator Panels are puncture-resistant, thin-film insulator and barrier materials printed with visible warnings and component identification. The panel shown in the photo functions as a fusebox cover for telecomm power supply equipment. The part is 0.017" thick and is constructed of UL-recognized, flame-retardant polycarbonate film. The panels can be precision die cut in a range of thicknesses, and alternate materials include UL-recognized, flame-retardant polypropylene. They can be used as gaskets, EMI/RFI shielding and custom laminates.
