Digital I/O Plug-Ins Boost VXI Flexibility And Versatility

Feb. 1, 2000

In addition to signal switching, support for digital I/O is now featured in the firm's VXI Adapt-A-Switch platform. The 1260-114 family of plug-in cards supports synchronous, asynchronous and mixed operating modes at data rates up to 200 kHz. Both message-based and register-based modes are supported. The 1260-114TTL, 1260-114CMOS and 1260-114OC provide 96 channels of TTL, CMOS and open-collector digital I/O, respectively. I/O lines on these cards are selected in 8-bit blocks as either input or output under program control. TTL and CMOS versions provide tri-state control for use with bi-directional buses.
