Embedded Processor Has Fail-Safe Boot Feature

With a patented FailSafe Boot feature that allows software upgrades to be made over the Internet while preventing irrecoverable crashes, the MachZPCe is a PC-on-a-chip embedded processor that boots autonomously on application of power. And in addition to ensuring successful on-line software upgrades, the chip is also said to be the only processor bundled with a fully embedded PC BIOS and dual OSs. This eliminates the need for OEMs to pay costly license fees and ends the expense of porting third-party software and searching for peripheral devices. The chip integrates a set of traditional PC hardware features, including PCI, ISA and Access buses, serial and parallel I/O, and floppy and hard disk controllers.
