Fiber Termination Units Come In Wall- Or Rack-Mount Styles

Available in several sizes and mounting styles, such as wall- and rack-mount, FutureFlex Fiber Termination Units are designed for use with FutureFlex Air-Blown fiber-optic cabling systems. The units are used to terminate optical fibers from air-blown bundles, providing a transition point between the air-blown fiber infrastructure and fiber jumpers connected to servers, computers, or other network electronics. They are used in locations such as telecomm closets and hubs to organize fibers for termination. Made of heavy-duty 14- or 16-gauge cold rolled steel, the enclosures come in two sizes: the 24-connector port has dimensions of 16"H x 16"W x 4"D, and the 48-connector port is 16"H x 16"W x 6"D. Wall-mount units have two security levels, a keylocked area for installation and maintenance and a fastened area for end-user entry. The units accommodate cables up to 2" in diameter and support all common connector types as well as singlemode or multimode pigtail splicing and field termination. Rack-mount units attach to standard 19" or 23" equipment racks and accommodate EIA standard six-pack panels and/or splice trays.
