The L7893 series of UV-VIS fiber light sources combines a highly stable deuturium lamp and tungsten lamp to create a single light source that is said to cover a wide spectral range. The source produces a stable light output and has a long service life. Spectral range is 200 to 1,100 nm for the entire series. The 30W deuturium lamp has a life of 2,000 hours, and the light sources have a typical output stability of 0.004%. A 1-m long optical fiber light guide with a core diameter ranging from 0.2 mm to 0.8 mm is available. The light guide allows the emitted light to be precisely directed onto the target, thereby improving the effectiveness of the light source. Each device measures 162 mm x 129 mm x 260 mm and weighs approximately 3 kg. Depending on the model, power requirements are 100 Vac to 120 Vac or 200 Vac to 240 Vac. And depending on configuration, pricing starts at $1,760 with delivery times of six weeks ARO.
