IC Eases Migration To PCI Designs

Jan. 1, 2000

The flexibility needed to simplify the migration of legacy designs to PCI is provided with the PCI 9030 SmarTarget I/O accelerator. Said to provide the easiest and fastest route to PCI solutions, the 32-bit, 33-MHz v2.2-compliant device supports burst transfers of up to 132 Mbytes/s. Its 50-MHz local bus, 3V/5V operation , programmable general-purpose I/Os, and chip selects bring flexibility to a wide variety of memory and I/O devices. The combination of these features makes adapters used in high-bandwidth applications, such as telecomm and datacomm interface cards, easier to design. The chip is also CompactPCI Hot-Swap ready.
