I/O Connectors Designed To Work In Systems Employing InfiniBand Architecture

May 1, 2001

Available in eight- and 12-pair models, the FCN-260(D) MicroGiGaCN differential connectors are designed to conform to the requirements of the InfiniBand architecture. Utilizing a 2.5-Gb/s wire speed connection with four or twelve wire link widths, the connectors offer a scalable performance range of 500 MB/s to 6 GB/s per link. Forward crosstalk is less than 4% with a 100-ps pulse rise-time when performing four-pair switching. The InfiniBand Trade Association (IBTA) recently selected the connectors as the standard input/output (I/O) connector for InfiniBand's 4x and 12x I/O interfaces.
