Isolated S/D Converters Replace Hybrid Units

May 1, 2000

The HSDC-XT series transformer-isolated, 10- to16-bit synchro-to-digital (S/D) converters can replace existing hybrid units with no external components. These PC-mountable devices measure 1.12"x 2.12" x 0.4" and can track input rates up to 600 rps with no added error. They convert synchro or resolver inputs of 50 Hz to 5 kHz to 10- to 16-bit parallel binary outputs representing angle with accuracy up to two minutes of arc. The device operates on 5 vdc and has a temperature range of -40°C to 85°C. Pricing in production quantities is less than $500 each with delivery times of two weeks ARO.
