The AMMP-6413 and AMMP-6415 are high-linearity, fully monolithic power amplifiers for use in Ka-band VSAT ground terminal applications. The devices come in a 5- by 5-mm SMT package, and feature high efficiency in order to reduce power consumption and the need for heat dissipation. The 2-W AMMP-6413 and the 4-W AMMP-6415 MMICs operate at frequencies between 13.75 GHz and 14.5 GHz. In this band, the amplifiers deliver 33 dBm and 36 dBm of output power, respectively, and 29 dB of small-signal gain. The devices are 50-O matched on input and output, and feature electrostatic discharge protection of 50 V (machine model) and 150 V (human body model). In quantities of 10,000, AMMP-6413 pricing starts at $20 and AMMP-6415 pricing starts at $25. Both are available now. AVAGO TECHNOLOGIES, San Jose, CA. (800) 235-0312.
