Linear Systems Operate In Harsh Environments

Sept. 1, 1999

Two preassembled linear motion systems feature protective bellows made of polyurethane-coated nylon and provide protection for the bearings and lead screws in applications where debris can cause harm. The bellows can operate over a temperature range of -65°F to 250°F. A twin-track system, designated System 9B, is well-suited for vertical applications with a 3/4" suspended shaft and a 1/2" diameter lead screw. Five travel lengths ranging from 2.9" to 15.4" are available. A second twin-track system designated System 10B uses supported rails that are integral to the base plate; the rails are precision machined and come in 10 travel lengths of 3.5" to 29.6". Typical dynamic loads for both systems is 300 lb.
