LVDS Clock/Data Distribution Devices Suited For Backplane Signaling

June 1, 2001

Said to be well suited for backplane signaling, this family of multi-port repeaters for clock or data distribution circuits used within datacomm and telecomm systems features 50 ps minimum skew. The PI90LVB16, PI90LV14, and PI90LV211 feature LVDS-to-LVTTL and LVDS-to-LVDS channel configurations for point-to-point links in high-speed backplane architectures. Integrating LVDS drivers into the same substrate leverages the electrical characteristics of LVDS for minimal skew and jitter on the repeated output signals. Price ranges from $3 to $5 depending on quantity.
