Module Inserts Aid Thermocouple Apps

Feb. 1, 2001

The Han Thermocouple Type J modular inserts are the newest addition to the firm's Han Modular series of connectors and are specially designed with high precision for use with several variants of the series to achieve accurate temperature readings from thermocouples. The inserts are installed with contacts made of iron and constantan, an alloy comprised of equal parts of nickel and copper. Due to the gold plating of the iron contacts they are highly resistant to oxidation.
The inserts are available with crimp and screw terminations and with polycarbonate and polyphenylene sulphide insulation to meet higher temperature requirements. Pricing for the thermocouple connectors starts at $54.32 each.
