Simulating embedded black boxes, coplanar waveguides, magnetic currents for slotted ground planes and a closed formulation that can simulate cavity structures simultaneously with open formulation radiating structures, Maxwell Strata v2.0 planar MoM (method-of-moments) simulator for microwave circuit and planar antenna design includes probe sources, multiple ground planes, and finite ground plane simulation. The full-wave electromagnetic field simulator computes coupling and fields for passive, 3D structures on or within planar multi-layered dielectric substrates. The frequency-domain analysis uses MoM to compute currents, S-parameters, near fields, and far-field radiation around planar structures such as microstrips and striplines. The software lets designers simulate circuit elements such as transistors, diodes, and capacitors.
