Monitors Are Stable And Scratch Resistant

Feb. 1, 2001

Extending the Entuitive line of kiosk-based touch monitors, the 15" and 17" CRT rear-mount touch monitors incorporate the company's iTouch technology. This touch-on-tube surface wave technology eliminates the need for a glass overlay by applying the technology directly to the CRT faceplate. And the faceplate is said to be several times stronger than even a bonded touchscreen overlay, making it less susceptible to scratches and breakage.
An iTouch-enhanced touchscreen claims to be able to reprogram around scratches and other surface contaminants including gum, grease and dirt. Targeted applications include point-of-information kiosks, point-of-purchase promotions, electronic catalogs, in-store e-commerce, and ticketing kiosks.
