PLL Synthesizers Deliver Low-Noise Performance

Two series of PLL synthesizers are claimed to have the best phase-noise performance in the industry. The ADF411x family includes two series, one is a pin-compatible replacement for LMX23xx PLL devices in existing designs and the other chips are intended for new designs. The new devices feature a phase-noise of 92 dBc/Hz at 900 MHz and a channel spacing of 200 kHz. Charge pump voltage operates up to 6V, while PLL operation is at 3V.
