The ADSQ-1410 is a functionally complete, quad, 14-bit, 10-Msample/s analog-to-digital converter (ADC) targeting image processing applications. With an 80-dB signal-to-noise ratio, the converter is well-suited for systems where low noise is important. A 2.5-V precision internal reference, along with individual analog input range selection pins, provides excellent tracking over temperature while allowing each channel to be independently configured for an analog input range of ±1 V to ±2.5 V. The modules require only ±5 V for internal analog supplies and a 2-V to 5-V supply for logic outputs. A single rising edge triggered start convert signal controls the conversion of all four ADCs. The 2- to 5-V digital CMOS outputs are multiplexed into pairs providing two parallel, three-state output buses. Four independent enable control pins offer individual output data and overflow/underflow selection. The ADC comes in a 66-pin SMT or TDIP through-hole package and measures 3.4 by 1.1 by 0.39 in. In OEM quantities the ADSQ-1410 costs about $215. Samples are delivered from stock. Lead times for production quantities are 12 to 15 weeks. MURATA POWER SOLUTIONS, Mansfield, MA. (508) 339-3000.
