Scanning Multimeter Automates Testing

Oct. 1, 1998

Designed for production test switch and measure applications, the Model 2000-20 scanning multimeter is a 6-1/2-digit instrument with a 20-channel scanner card installed in its option slot. Scanning can be controlled from the front panel or by means of a RS-232 or IEEE-488 interface. This unit can measure dc voltage from 100 nV to 1 kV with 0.002%, 90-day basic accuracy and ohms from 100 µ-ohms to 120 Megaohms with 0.008%, 90-day basic accuracy. The instrument can scan at up to 90 channels/s on the dc-volts range, and a built-in limit testing function can sort or grade components or assemblies based on test results.
