SCSI Terminator Boast 35 MHz Bandwidth

Sept. 1, 1998

Based on a new second-generation, SCSI termination architecture, the IMP5000 BiCMOS devices are said to deliver higher bandwidth and lower system cost than the first-generation linear terminators. The devices, which are also available from Linfinity Microelectronics as part of a strategic partnership, are manufactured with identical mask sets to insure full alternate source capability. The terminators are designed with a 35 MHz bandwidth for UltraSCSI/Fast-20 transfer rates for real-world applications. The devices may have be plugged directly into first-generation systems resulting in improved stability of operation. Samples are available.
