Signal Conditioner Adapts In The Field

March 1, 2000

Able to serve in more than 600 applications, 11 UPAC modules offer configuration selector switches that let users change the signal conditioner as the process changes in the field. For example, the dc voltage module can be configured into more than 200 signal input/output combinations, while the thermocouple module can be configured into more than 60 signal input/output combinations. Available with setpoint control configuration, UPAC modules can be used as controllers for a wide range of small, dedicated applications such as mixing, temperature control and HVAC. A single UPAC module can replace numerous dedicated signal conditioner types with simple switch configuration. Emergency replacements can be quickly configured and mistakes in sensor types can be instantly corrected. Prices range from $295 to $375.
