Simulator Accelerates Software Development

Running under Windows 9x and Windows NT 4.0, the 68000 software simulator creates a virtual 68000 microprocessor on the user's PC and provides full source code level debugging facilities without the need for any 68000 hardware. It accelerates the software development process by allowing programmers to test code even when the hardware is not available. Views of memory, registers and disassembled instructions allow observation and control at the microprocessor level. Multiple watch windows show the values of local and global C variables and context colored test windows allow debugging at the source code level. Multiple cycle counters indicate the number of instruction cycles that have occurred during various parts of the execution process. In addition to the standard built-in microprocessor register windows, the simulator supports the creation of custom register windows. Other features include source code profiling and code and data coverage.
