Six Notch Filters Fit Into Eight-Pin Package

The MSHNx series selectable high-pass/notch-filter devices fit six filters into a single eight-pin DIP and each filter can be configured for a different response. A device can be configured for eight-pole Butterworth, seven-pole elliptic, eight-pole Bessel high-pass responses or deep, narrow or wide notch responses. The MSHN1, 2 and 5 operate at center frequencies up to 20 kHz while drawing 1 mA of supply current. The MSHN3, 4 and 6 operate up to 5 kHz and draw 200 µA. Depending on model, other features include 100:1 and 1,000:1 clock-to-corner ratios, a four-input multiplexer, selectable gain from 0, 10 or 20 dB, and a power-down function. Depending on model, pricing is $2.75 and $3.50 each/1, 000.
