SMT Connector Converts Signals

product pic

Converting signals from coaxial to planar waveguide mode with well-matched impedance characteristics, the surface-mount coaxial connector (SMCC) performs its signal-mode conversion internally by means of a miniature interface. The interface design reduces the influence on electrical performance of a conventional connector's footprint to ensure excellent return-loss figures, isolation performance and low-dispersion transmission characteristics. These connectors are available in SMA, MCX and SMP sub-miniature configurations with different footprints to accommodate microstrip and coplanar waveguides of various materials. The connectors transmit third-order frequencies for return loss of better than -14 dB at 20 GHz for SMA.
