Sockets Hold DC/DC Converters

Feb. 1, 2000

Low-profile SocketPac Sockets are a solution for connecting dc-to-dc converters to PCBs. The SocketPacs use a proprietary Peel-A-Way carrier and delivery system to quickly load socket pins into PCBs prior to soldering, and allow for complete soldering visibility on both sides of the PCB. By not exposing a power brick's inner circuits to high wave solder temperatures, converters are protected. Also, due to low mass, SocketPacs aid in pre-heat profile issues. Multiple terminal types on single, removable sheets allow simple one-step loading, and make replacements, upgrades, and repairs easier. Current ratings are up to 18A.
