Software Eases Development Process

Programmers can concentrate solely on the primary task of software development when using version 2.0 of the Embedded Development Studio, a fully integrated environment for Windows 95/NT 4.0 that eliminates at a stroke the learning curve normally associated with the use of a sophisticated tool chain. Key new features include a fully-integrated source level simulator for the 8051 microcontroller and dockable windows. The new version encourages a project management approach with wizards and property pages to help with the set-up process. It features a multi-threaded interface to multiple tool chains, an integrated feature rich text editor with full context coloring, multiple terminal emulators, a source code browser, complete on-line books with full text searching, and a configuration system to manage start-up files and target specific options.
