Tactile Switches Lock Out Dust And Water

July 1, 1999

With double-sealed construction to ensure watertight, dust-tight performance, B3WN tactile switches are intended for high-density mounting in applications where IEC529 IP67 watertight performance is required. The 8- x 8-mm switches offer a high operating force of 200, ±70g, to reduce the risk of accidental actuation. A positive click confirms that the switch has actuated. Switching capacity is 50 mA at 12 vdc resistive load, insulation voltage is 30 vdc, contact configuration is SPST N.O., life expectancy is 100,000 operations minimum and operating temperature is -25°C to 85°C. Applications are appliances, consumer electronics, and home security.
