Temperature Sensor Sports Versatility

Jan. 1, 2000

Thermal-Tab is a stable platinum resistance temperature detector packaged in a low-cost flat body suitable for mounting on surfaces or for insertion into probes or cavities. The sensor is completely insulated and has rugged Teflon-insulated lead wires that come in a standard 40" length. Standard element types include 100 ohm and 1000 ohm platinum. Other curves, including NTC or PTC thermistors, are available. Temperature range is -50°C to 130°C.Measuring just 5 mm x 12 mm, the sensors are easily installed on surfaces using self-adhesive backing or cements, epoxies or tapes. They also can be assembled into probes by sliding them into the sheath and securing them with potting or a mechanical crimp. Samples are available.
