Transformers Cover Industrial Temperature Range

April 1, 2000

A new family of extended-temperature quad-port T1/E1 transformers for the industrial temperature range addresses high-port-density telecomm applications, including WAN internetworking interfaces, ISP servers, multiplexers, digital access and cross connect systems, channel banks and cellular base stations. Offered in a 40-pin packages and designed for optimum performance over the -40°C to 85°C temperature range, the T1103 and T1114 transformers utilize the firm's interlock base construction technique to provide a more uniform positioning of coils and interconnections between wires and lead frames. The transformers can withstand the 235°C peak solder reflow requirement typical in surface-mount assembly. Pricing starts at less than $3.00 each.
