Unit Tests Wound Products

May 1, 2000

Combining a universal transformer and wound-product tester into one instrument, the WP-5400 specifically targets high-volume production and quality assurance operations. The unit performs standard LCR tests, such as for inductance, capacitance, impedance, ac resistance, dc resistance, phase angle, polarity and quality factor analysis. Additional tests include turns ratio and leakage inductance. A 20-node Kelvin switching matrix and fixture minimizes interconnection errors and maximizes speed and throughput. Up to 10 tests per second can be performed, with total test times for typical parts taking less than 2s.
