ZIF Connectors Meet High-Density Demands

Designed for flexible printed circuits and flat cable, the FKZ side entry type zero-insertion-force (ZIF) connectors are said to meet the high-density demands of audio visual equipment, digital cameras, portable DVDs, notebook PCs and PDAs. FKZ connectors are available in 8, 16, 22, 26, and 32 circuits rated at 0.5A, 50V ac/dc. Connector height is 1.8 mm, while the width ranges from 3.5 mm for less than 25 circuits to 4.0 mm for larger numbers of circuits.
Available on embossed tape for mounting by automated placement machines, FKZ connectors are typically priced at $0.45 each in OEM quantities.
