Jeff Tranter is the Engineering Manager at Integrated Computer Solutions (www.ics.com), where he’s responsible for managing customer software projects, including the architectural and high-level design of software systems. Prior to joining ICS, Jeff was one of the founding members of Xandros Corp., where he managed a team of developers responsible for the desktop components of Linux-based Xandros Desktop products. He has written several books on Linux and open-source programming, as well as numerous magazine articles, and is a frequent speaker at conferences and user groups.
