Atif Zafar, MD is an entrepreneur with a passion for computer hardware, medical devices, and computer graphics. He has had a 30-year involvement in computer graphics, from SUN Workstations, Silicon Graphics systems, and GPUs to developing his own algorithms and IP. He developed the RV64X graphics ISA extension to RISC-V and is developing a high-performance mobile supercomputing system at Brane Technologies.
Atif also is a medical doctor in practice as a hospitalist in a Level-1 Trauma Center and has led a national effort in electronic medical records in a previous position. He’s also now working on a next-generation, high-end GPU Architecture that promises high-end performance on a low-cost system.
