Ulrich Hofmann has over 25 years of experience in MEMS mirror technology. He studied Physics at the University of Marburg and received his PhD in Electrical Engineering from the University of Kiel. In 1994, he joined the MEMS department of Fraunhofer ISIT in Itzehoe and initiated ISIT’s MEMS mirror technology development.
Ulrich and his team developed mirrors for augmented-eality applications, pico projectors in the consumer industry, automotive applications such as head-up displays, LiDAR sensors, and more. In 2018, Ulrich co-founded his own company with the goal of commercializing the technology he and his team had developed.
