Groomed for use in hybrid electric vehicles, the ACPL-36JV 2.5A optocoupler integrates desaturation detection and fault status feedback while operating over a temperature range from -40 °C to +105 °C. Qualified to automotive AEC-Q100 Grade 2 semiconductor requirements, the device is available in a 16-lead SO-16 surface-mount package. Features include the ability to drive IGBTs up to IC = 150A and VCE = 1.2 kV, CMOS/TTL compatible input, a 500-ns maximum switching speed, soft IGBT turn-off, and a 15 kV/ ms minimum CMR at VCM = 1.5 kV.
