The 14-bit LTC1407A and 12-bit LTC1407 3-Msample/s analog-to-digital converters (ADCs) have two simultaneous inputs. The two conversion results are delivered sequentially to DSP serial ports through a three-wire serial peripheral interface. The LTC1407A achieves 73.5-dB SINAD and guarantees 14-bit no missing codes. Powered from a single 3-V supply, the converters typically dissipate just 12 mW. Both versions are available in a 10-pin MSOP that's less than half the size of an SO-8. Prices start at $7 each for the LTC1407A and $4 each for the LTC1407 in quantities of 1000.
