The MAX14550E high-speed USB analog switch integrates a USB host-charger identification circuit to automatically detect portable devices. It allows a host to charge portable devices even when the host is in standby and cannot enumerate USB devices. The chip supports the USB Battery Charging Specification Revision 1.0 with shorted D+/D- detection as well as Apple-compliant devices using a set resistor bias.
