Additions to the company’s line of Micro Foot devices claim to break ground as the first chipscale MOSFETs and analog switch rated for 1.8V operation. Measuring 1.6 mm x 1.6 mm x 0.65 mm, the Si8405DB p-channel power MOSFET has a breakdown voltage of 12V and an on-resistance from 55 m_ at -4.5V gate drive to 90 m_ at -1.8V. With a drain-to-source voltage of 20V, the Si8401DB single p-channel device has a maximum on-resistance of 65 m_ at -4.5V or 95 m_ at -2.5V. Measuring 1.07 mm x 1.57 mm x 0.7 mm, the DG3000 analog switch provides a charge injection of 5 pC, an on-resistance of 1.4_, and can operate with frequencies beyond 100 MHz. Pricing for the Si8405DB and Si8401DB MOSFETs is $0.36 each/100,000 and for the DG3000 is $0.47. VISHAY INTERTECHNOLOGY INC., Malvern, PA. (610) 644-1300.
