Fault-Protection Switch Integrates Current Foldback

Jan. 25, 2011
The FP0100 fault-protection switch with current fold-back guards against over-current or short-circuit conditions in output power supplies and is suited for applications in which downstream circuit protection is needed.

The FP0100 fault-protection switch with current fold-back guards against over-current or short-circuit conditions in output power supplies and is suited for applications in which downstream circuit protection is needed. The switch features an on resistance of 4? typical.  Peak current passing through the switch is set by an external resistor, programmable to 260 mA.  In its off state, the switch can withstand input voltages up to 100V. The FP0100 is available in a SOT-89 package (FP0100N8-G). Pricing is $0.95 each/1,000. SUPERTEX INC., Sunnyvale, CA. (800) 222-9883.
