Reporting the lowest distortion and highest linearity available, two LME families of high-fidelity audio op amps specify a THD+N of 0.00003%, which leads to better linear behavior. A 44V family includes two package versions of the LME49860 dual op amp, while a 34V family consists of the LME49710 single, LME49720 dual, and LME49740 quad op amps. Both families feature a wide operating voltage range up to ±22V. Other features include an input noise density of 2.7 nV/√Hz, a 1/f noise corner of 60 Hz, 600Ω output drive, slew rate of 20 V/µs, and a 55-MHz gain bandwidth. The LME49860 is unity-gain stable over a supply range of ±2.5V to ±22V and delivers an output to 26 mA. Over this supply range, the device maintains a CMRR and PSRR beyond 120 db and an input-bias current of 10 nA. It is available in 8-lead SOIC and DIP packages. A 44V single op amp will be available this quarter. The 34V LME49710, LME49720, and LME49740 amps are unity-gain stable over a supply range of ±2.5V to ±17V and provide output currents up to 45 mA. The LME49710 single and LME49720 dual are available in 8-lead SOIC, DIP, and metal-can TO-99 packages. The LME49740 quad is available in 14-lead SOIC and DIP packages. Depending on the device and package, prices range from $1.35 to $10.60 each/100. NATIONAL SEMICONDUCTOR CORP., Santa Clara, CA. (800) 272-9959.
