LNAs Cut Noise And Costs

Aug. 26, 2011
In addition to noise figures down to 0.5 dB, the MAAL-010704, MAAL-010705, and MAAL-010706 family of low-noise amplifiers (LNAs) from M/A-COM promise users both space and cost savings.

In addition to noise figures down to 0.5 dB, the MAAL-010704, MAAL-010705, and MAAL-010706 family of low-noise amplifiers (LNAs) from M/A-COM promise users both space and cost savings. They exhibit linearity with an OIP3 of less than 34 dBm and sport a rugged design with 950V of ESD protection. Other shared features include an active bias circuit, adjustable current via external resistors, 3V or 5V operation, and broadband internal matching at both input and output. The MAAL-010704-TR3 operates across a frequency range from 100 MHz to 3.5 GHz while the MAAL-010705-TR3 spans 500 MHz to 1.6 GHz and the MAAL-010706-TR3 covers 1.4 GHz to 4 GHz. The devices are available for purchase from the distributor. RICHARDSON ELECTRONICS LTD., LaFox, IL. (800) 737-6937.
