Load Switches Provide Robust Protection

Nov. 29, 2010
Providing protection while simplifying power-management designs, the AccuPower load switch series, consisting of the FPF2700, FPF2701 and FPF2702, embarks as the industry’s first 2.8V to 36V integrated load switches.

Providing protection while simplifying power-management designs, the AccuPower load switch series, consisting of the FPF2700, FPF2701 and FPF2702, embarks as the industry’s first 2.8V to 36V integrated load switches. The series contains a slew rate controlled N-Channel MOSFET that limits the amount of in-rush current. Typical on resistance for the devices is 90 m?. Additionally, to address concerns of current surges, AccuPower load switches feature Safe Operation Area current limit protection, which guards against instantaneous short circuit events and protects the system from failure. Price is $0.92 each/1,000. FAIRCHILD SEMICONDUCTOR, San Jose, CA. (800) 341-0392.
