Providing infrared detection in space-critical sensing applications, the OP520 and OP521 series surface-mount, NPN phototransistors reside in 1206-size packages and exhibit response times of 15 µs with peak responses to 880 nm. The OP520 features an opaque lens while the OP521 employs a water-clear lens. Both devices specify a collector-emitter voltage of 30V, emitter-collector voltage of 5V, collector current of 20 mA, and a power dissipation of 75 mW at 25°C.
