The NV45G1480 100-MHz oven-controlled crystal oscillator (OCXO) from Bliley Technologies Inc. targets applications that require superior noise performance. Typical phase noise is −100 dBc (option C) to −130dBc (option A) at a 100-Hz offset. At a 1000-Hz offset, phase noise is −152 dBc to −155 dBc. The low-noise performance makes the device well suited for use in phase-locked microwave signal sources including dielectric resonant oscillators (DROs), test equipment, and microwave communications systems (point-to-point or point-to-multipoint), as well as in military and Doppler radar.
Typical output power is 10 dBm, with a maximum of 15 dBm available. Maximum harmonics are −30 dBc, and maximum spurious emissions are −75 dBc. Running on 12 V dc ±5%, the turn-on power is 4.8 W maximum, with a steady-state consumption of 1 W typical at 25°C. Frequency stability as tight as ±50 ppb is available over a temperature range of −20°C to 70°C. From −40°C to 85°C, maximum stability is 100 ppb. Aging is rated at ±1.25 ppm over 20 years. The NV45G1480 comes in a low-profile package with a maximum height of 0.53 in.
