Housed in a compact SOD-80 (MiniMELF) package, the TLZ series of zener diodes offers users 130 options for voltage control applications. The components exhibit a sharp reverse characteristic, which is said to ensure stable reverse voltages even at low current levels. Power handling ratings are up to 500 mW at zener voltages from 2.4V to 56V with reverse currents from 5 mA to 20 mA. The diodes are available in 30 overlapping voltage groups with from three to six devices offered within each group with more narrowly-specified reverse voltages. For example, in the 4.04V to 4.57V voltage range, users can select devices with a standard reverse-voltage range of from 4.04V to 4.57V, or from narrower ranges of 4.04V to 4.29V, 4.17V to 4.43V, and 4.3V to 4.57V. The devices measure 3.5 mm long by 1.5 mm in diameter and have a maximum junction temperature of 175¡C. Pricing starts at $1.40 each/100,000. VISHAY INTERTECHNOLOGY INC., Malvern, PA.
