Enter the Project Commander! This universal remote works with virtually any IR remote. It "learns" by sampling an IR signal coming from any remote by using the built in 10 bit SAR A/D. These IR settings are then stored internally in the Virtual EEPROM. What's more, it is possible to add further capabilities to this universal remote; it can be programmed to execute certain commands, e.g., turn on the VCR, DVD, or TV at a specific time , by the means of a real time clock. To conserve battery power, the Project Commander goes into power save mode using the IDLE/HALT mode of the COP8FLASH.
