Outsourcing SoC Network Design Just Makes Sense

Frank Ferro of Sonics Inc. notes that today's complex SoCs are composed of many IP blocks; many of those pieces of IP are outsourced. Perhaps, Ferro muses, it makes just as much sense to outsource the on-chip network that links all that IP on an SoC.
